Are you on a journey of wellness and need one-on-one support for integrating self-care into your personal or work life?
Maybe you're completely new to self-care and would like someone to walk with you while you learn.
Or somewhere in between.
As a self-care coach, I’d love to support you on your journey toward creating a conscious, meaningful, balanced life.
Is this you?
- You’re a seeker of deeper personal awareness. You may see people who seem comfortable with themselves, spiritually settled, at peace no matter what’s happening in the world around them, and you want that.
- You want to learn self-worth and practice it in all areas of your life. (Stuff like setting boundaries with friends and family, or asking for a raise.)
- Your self-improvement and self-empowerment work never seems to end; you’re tired of always working on your issues and identifying yourself by your problems and suffering. You often say, “I need to change______”, but it never really changes.
If with any of these resonate with you, there is hope. I’m here to tell you that, using mindful self-care, you can be comfortable in your own skin.
No matter how bad you think things are, your upbringing or past, where you’re at now, whether your issues are with grief, spirituality, anxiety, addiction recovery or something else, you can learn to move forward in a different way – a more mindful, self-compassionate way.
Through Self-Care Coaching, I’d be honoured to be a companion on your journey as you learn how.
Imagine what it would feel like to have the world of heavy turmoil lifted from your shoulders. Imagine the relief. The ease. Standing taller. Feeling lighter.
What Does Self-Care Coaching Look Like?
Your self-care may include learning to be present with your feelings. Maybe it will mean creating a personal retreat space in which you can find solace and comfort. Perhaps you’ll need a compassionate witness to your process as you learn what self care means to you. Or maybe it will look like something entirely different.
Self-care can mean different things to everyone. It can mean different things to you at different times. Whatever your definition, through self-care coaching I’m here to help you discover and create your own practice of sustainable self-care through:
- calming, non-judgemental support for contemplation and deeper awareness
- a creative, inspired, think-outside-the-box environment
- encouragement to move forward in your life with curiosity and a new perspective
- compassionate support to make conscious, healthy choices
- genuine, respectful observations and feedback
How will self-care coaching help?
Growth and change can feel like a lonely path. It’s crucial that you have a solid support network in place, made up of people who hear, understand and support you – usually friends, family, groups, or professionals. But this isn’t always possible for everyone for a variety of reasons.
Even if you have a fabulous support team, all the information and experiences with each can seem fragmented. You may not be sure how to figure out the best way to bring them all together.
As your coach, I am a supportive companion to walk alongside you and lend my support for you where you need it. We’ll start where you’re at, determine where you want to end up, and come up with inspiration and practical tools you can use in your daily life.
Self-care coaching can help you learn how to create restorative, self-compassionate self-care habits and use them in a mindful way toward finding a sense of peace in your own skin. It’s all about the actions you want and need to take moving forward.
I have knowledge. I have personal experience. I may have ideas and resources for you when you run out. But I’m not here to tell you how you should move forward in your life. I don’t have a cookie-cutter plan for self-care.
You’re The Hero Of Your Own Story
I believe and support that you’re the hero of your own story. I don’t believe you need to be fixed.
Let me say that again.
I don’t believe you need to be fixed.
You’re not broken. You’re a human being experiencing stuff.
You may just need some support as you learn new tools for creating an optimistic, hopeful life.
If you’re not familiar with how to be comfortable with your feelings, the problem is not the fact that they’re there in the first place. And the solution is not to wish them away.
I can’t make your problems nor your past go away. Neither can you. But I can help you discover how to be at peace with what’s inside you, regardless. And that’s what self-care coaching is all about.
I want to help you learn to see and accept your innate worth. Be at peace with yourself. Quiet, dignified self-compassion and acceptance.
It is more than possible. It’s within your reach right now.
Can self-care coaching work with other wellness supports?
Absolutely. Coaching is supposed to work with your other supports.
Self-care coaching is not therapy nor counselling. With counsellors, therapists and medical professionals, you are assessed by an accredited professional and a treatment plan is prescribed by your health team. They will suggest and use one or more modalities to help you achieve a pre-determined end goal of treatment.
Coaching is not a modality, therapy or treatment; it is a supportive resource to encourage you to design a life of wellness that you imagine for yourself using all supports and resources available.
My role as your supportive self-care coach is to offer compassionate support and help you create practical ways to apply what you’ve gathered from your counsellor, therapist, workshops, supportive groups, self-help books and materials, and whatever other resources, into your every day life.
I’m part of your supportive team working toward the same goal: your wellness, whatever that means to you.
If this sounds like something that would benefit you, I encourage you to attend one of our free circles, groups or introductory workshops to see if the way I work feels like a good fit for you.
